Lingfield Art
![]() The Lingfield Art Exhibition is an important annual event based in Surrey, held at the Lingfield and Dormansland Community Centre, which is in the High Street, Lingfield it takes place over six days. This year it starts on Tuesday 15 July at 10.00am and finishes on Sunday 20 July at 4.00pm.
The show provides the ideal location for individual artists based in Surrey, Sussex and Kent to showcase their work in a community setting. The 2007 exhibition attracted over 800 visitors last year. Entrance to the exhibition is free and most of the work is for sale.
We display, on average, over 500 exhibits of two dimensional and three dimensional works. The entire ground floor of the community centre is dedicated to painting, drawing and prints, with the second floor set aside purely for displaying fine sculpture and ceramics.
Exciting features at this annual not-for-profit exhibition include artists demonstrating painting and sculpture to the visiting public during the week.
No commission is charged on sales and a total of 37% of those exhibiting last year sold their work. This is hardly surprising given the quality and range of the work entered for the exhibition.
Refreshments are available.
The annual Lingfield Art Exhibition has been running for over fifteen years and is now organised by Lingfield Art Ltd, a not-for-profit community organisation, run by volunteers. It is sponsored by the Lingfield Parish Council. Lingfield Art Ltd is a registered UK company (company number 6388715).
